Wow! That was tough. Since I was having so much trouble posting I went ahead and made a flyer on word. That one took maybe half-an-hour, and most of that time was trying to think of what information to inculde. This took three times as long or better. It looks beautiful in draft mode, then I go to preview and yuck. Not what I was looking for. I started to figure out a few of the ins and outs as I progressed, but the limited options for fonts and sizes as well as not being able to space things properly got to be pretty frustrating. By the way, copy and paste does not work so well either. I don't know how well I followed the directions. In the end, I just wanted to get it done. Even inserting pictures was not the greatest. The video made everything look so easy. I was fooled. Time to take off the blinders. I had to preview the pictures first and write down their names so I knew what I was looking for when I went to browse for them. Then trying to slide them into position to line them up seemed to be nearly impossible. I am sure there are better ways of working with blogs, and I hope to learn more as we continue our technology experiment. Oh yeah, I am not counting the words here. I am finished. Wish there was a word counter...

  1. Even after the preview looked OK (meaning that the pictures lined up side by side). After I posted it, the pictures still moved, and it won't let me go back in to edit it. Got to stay positive though, at least I got it done (and it looks good in word).

  2. I'd generally suggest not to do things in word and then copy/paste. I've had so much trouble with doing that on my school's blackboard site. I think you might be better off just working within the confines of the blog post format from the start.

Do like the use of both graphics and the different font for the camp information. Nice job!
